The main purpose of the project is to reconstruct and analyse the development of Ukrainian “literary science in exile” on the example of professional and personal activities of Dmytro Chyzhevskyi, Leonid Biletskyi, Mykola Hnatyshak, Stepan Smal’-Stotskyi, Volodymyr Doroshenko, Oleksandr Kolessa. The conceptual approach of the project suggests focusing on personalities, since the biographies of each of these figures represent both the history of science and the history of institutions that were engaged in the production and reproduction of scientific knowledge.
