Studie o rukopisech

[Manuscript Studies]

Studie o rukopisech [Manuscript Studies] is a specialist codicological periodical published since 1962. Apart from codicology, which is often referred to as the science of manuscripts, Studie o rukopisech is also open to other auxiliary historical sciences (especially palaeography) and other disciplines involved in manuscript research (philology, art history, literary history, musicology and legal history).

The journal Studie o rukopisech provides the latest findings on manuscript discoveries, analyses of manuscript texts and inventories of smaller manuscript collections. In addition, it deals with library science topics, especially the history of libraries and book collections. It introduces the professional public to foreign Bohemica and deals with methodological issues as well. Moreover, it provides reviews of the latest codicological literature and reports. Original contributions can be published not only in Czech but also in other languages, especially English and German.

The journal Studie o rukopisech does not charge authors any publication or other fees, and neither does it pay authors any royalties or other remuneration for published articles.

Since 2009, Studie o rukopisech has been a peer-reviewed professional journal. It is published twice a year and indexed in the international databases ERIH Plus and CEEOL.

All issues of the journal are available in the Digital Library of the CAS.
