Topic
Czechoslovakia after 1945
The contemporary history of Czechoslovakia is represented in several areas within the professional activities of the Masaryk Institute and the Archives of the CAS, and thus forms the intersection of several research areas and projects. In addition to research on the history of science and technology, in which the post-1945 period occupies a key place with regard to the activities of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences (CSAS), the main topics are Czech-German and Czech-Austrian relations. However, there are also memoirs and biographical contributions documenting the complex fates of many prominent figures in Czech public life in the second half of the 20th century.
