Topic
First World War
The period of the First World War is viewed at the Masaryk Institute and the Archives of the CAS through the lens of various phenomena, such as individual and collective violence, the relationship between supply and the loyalty of the population, or technological and legislative changes in the conditions of a controlled economy. Classical topics such as Czechoslovak domestic and foreign resistance are examined in a comparative and transnational perspective. Through a digital humanities approach, it is possible to map Masaryk’s strategies for realizing the program of an independent Czechoslovak state.
